Tennant Creek and Elliott - Provision of Responsive Repairs and Maintenance Works to Department of Housing Assets for a Period of 24 Months

Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is implementing new contracting arrangements for the delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance works. Repairs and maintenance of its Houses is a core responsibility of DHCD. Repairs and maintenance requirements may arise in a number of circumstances, mduding: Objective of procurement Contract type (Conditions of Contract) Period contract Method • fair wear and tear; • damage caused by the Tenant or other person; • damage caused due to an event such as a cyclone, fire or storm. Other works include: • works arising upon a House being vacated by a Tenant when Department of Housing returns the House to the standard required to enable the House to be relet; and • works scheduled by Department of Housing so as to keep its Houses repaired and maintained to the standard required by the Residential Tenancies Act, the Housing Act and the policies of Department of Housing.
