The Department of Mining and Energy (DME) Legacy Mines Unit (LMU) is seeking a suitably experienced Consultant to provide services as Remediation Implementation Lead (RIL) for the Sandy Flat Remediation Project.The Consultant will require experience in the successful delivery of mine site remediation works, with particular capability in assessing the practicality, constructability, and feasibility of technical recommendations. Strong applied knowledge of mine water treatment and management, waste characterisation and placement, and civil works planning is essential.The RIL will be responsible for reviewing and advising on the technical feasibility of planned works, developing detailed cost estimates for defined aspects of the project, and contributing to financial planning and forecasting. The role will include leading selected project packages from scoping and procurement through to contract management, coordinating specialist consultants where required, and providing formal advice to guide project direction and optimise implementation.Familiarity with the Sandy Flat site and an understanding of remediation planning undertaken to date will be considered highly advantageous.

Design and construct new security fencing to replace old fencing. Fence to be 2280mm tail with 1800 max height of trim deck wall cladding and 3 rows of barb wire on the top.
