East Arnhem Region - Gove District Hospital - Upgrade of Fire Safety Systems and Fire Water Infrastructure to Services Building and District Office
The scope of the Gove District Hospital Fire Upgrade Project relates to the upgrade of fire services infrastructure and electrical infrastructure to serve the Gove District Hospital site as well as the removal of asbestos material to several buildings on the site. The aim of the project is to improve the occupant safety as well as asset protection for the existing buildings of the Gove District Hospital.
The key aspects of the project are as follows:
- New fire water pump and tank system with associated access road
- Networking of new and existing fire indicator panels and high-level interface with the Building Management system
- Upgrade and replacement of switchboards
- Removal of asbestos in select buildings
- Undertaking works in a staged manner to allow the critical services of the hospital to maintain operation during the construction phase
- Provision of temporary facilities for staff
