Alice Springs Region - Repairs and Maintenance of General Concrete, Drainage Structures, Bridges, and Grids for a Period of 36 Months

A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises of works to maintain the following infrastructure in the Alice Springs Region Network:

• Concrete Infrastructure: 
  Repair/Replace Shared paths, Footpaths, Medians, and Kerbs of various Configurations.. 
• Drainage Infrastructure

o   Replace/Repair Reinforced Concrete Pipe Culverts (RCP’s).

o   Replace/Repair Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts (RCBC’s).

o   Replace/Repair RCP/ RCBC Headwalls, Wingwalls, Aprons and Concrete batters

o   Construction/Replacement of concrete slabs, margins and toe walls 

o   SEP lids,

o   Letterbox Lids,

o   Cleaning of Culverts and Stormwater Drain channels,

o   Maintenance of floodways including debris removal.

• Bridges:
  o   Repairs and maintenance of bridges including minor structural repairs; drainage  maintenance; replacement of expansion joints; maintenance of bridge rails, guardrails, and maintenance of approaches. 
• Grids:
  o   Repairs and maintenance of cattle grids and removal of cattle grids.

• Protection infrastructure: 
  o   Stone Pitching,

  o   Grouted Stone Pitching,

  o   Dumped Rock,

  o   Gabions,

  o   Reno Mattresses.

• Inspections 
  o   Level 1 inspections of bridges and culverts

  o   Condition inspections of grids

• The use of electronic data collection for defect recording and proof of repair compliance shall be part of the contract.
