Upgrade and seal works in a proposed road section on Stuart Highway from 529.7 km to 531.6 km as shown in the Contract Drawings. The upgrade is to improve and construct 11m wide carriageway with two sealed traffic lanes 3.5m wide within the extent of existing road alignment.
The works comprise but not limited to - environmental management, earthworks in cut and fill, drainage works, protection works, pavement works, spray seal works, installation of road furniture and line markings.
The objective of the works is to improve pavement life and quality, upgrade drainage system and improvements for higher flood immunity, traffic safety, and ride quality through the upgraded section.
