Katherine - Stuart Highway - Upgrade Carpentaria Highway Intersection and Heavy Vehicle Parking Area
Upgrade the intersection of Stuart Highway and Carpentaria Highway and the existing heavy vehicle parking area including new access.
The scope of works also includes the upgrade of the Carpentaria Highway from chainage 0 km to 2 km.
The works are expected to include but not limited to:
Earthworks in cut and fill
Construction of drainage works
Extraction and processing of natural gravel material
Construction of new granular pavements on the Stuart Highway & Carpentaria Intersection.
Spray sealing
Dense graded asphalt
Construction of heavy vehicle parking area including concrete pavements
Road furniture and road signs
Pavement marking
Streetlighting
CCTV Infrastructure
Provision for future traffic signal infrastructure
