The purpose of this Select RFT is to engage with the 10 shortlisted entities from Stage One, to provide civil works and site remediation services as part of the Rum Jungle rehabilitation project.

This RFT process is the final stage in a two-stage process to form a works contract.  

The works are expected to include, but are not limited to:

• Development of borrow areas, including installing access routes, topsoil stripping, erosion and sediment control
• Relocation of waste rock and impacted soils
• Construction of erosion and sediment control structures
• Development of a clean/dirty zone management plan
• Site management services (workshops, offices, crib, ablutions)
• Security, traffic management and site control access
• Emergency Response resources
• Principal Contractor for the purposes of workplace health and safety
• Protection of cultural heritage sites

The Contractor assigned to execute the project must possess and consistently hold:

• Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme by the Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC); and
• Accreditation from Contractor Accreditation Limited (CAL) at a level equivalent to or surpassing their proposal in the relevant CAL category and group.
