Future Tender Opportunity Details

The Legacy Mines Unit is seeking an experienced contractor for the demolition and disposal of remaining plant and infrastructure at the Sandy Flat Mine site.  

The requirement includes:

·         Safe removal and disposal of minor amounts of hazardous materials as identified in a site Haz Chem report. This should be completed as stage 1 to reduce risks and cost impacts to the subsequent demolition works.

·         Demolition of plant structures with a maximum height of 13m.

·         Transport of approximately 400 tonnes of scrap metal to a suitable recycling facility.

·         Crush and onsite disposal of approximately 40 tonnes of non-recyclable materials.

·         Breaking and pulverising approximately 700 tonnes of concrete slabs, to be stockpiled on site.

All work will be specified by the LMU contract manager. A bill of quantities will be provided, and detailed description of works required for each area/feature.

Works are to be completed within the 2025 Dry season.
