Darwin Region - Provision of Arboreal Services to Public and Social Housing Assets for a Period of 24 Months

This procurement aims to achieve the provision of arboreal services for public and social housing assets throughout the Greater Darwin Region. 

The Greater Darwin Region is, for the purposes of this tender, divided into two geographical zones:

• Zone 1 - Darwin and Casuarina
• Zone 2 - Palmerston, Humpty Doo, Howard Springs, Batchelor and Adelaide River town areas 

The successful contractors will be required to deliver the following services:

• detailed reports providing expert advice to assist the Department to manage its current tree stocks in line with industry standards;
• tree surgery including Crown Maintenance and Crown Modification (lopping, pruning);
• tree and palm removal (felling);
• stump grinding;
• ground restoration;
• disposal of all debris associated with any of the above; and
• other arboreal maintenance services as directed.

Each Zone will be awarded to a separate contractor with contractors providing all services within the Zone they have been awarded.

The provision of arboreal services will be procured under a ‘standing offer arrangement’ and is provided for public and social housing assets on an “as and when required” basis.
