The Works are located on the Tanami Road, in the northwest of the Alice Springs Region.Work involves the upgrade to a two-lane seal standard of the existing sections of single seal between chainage 17 km to 38 km. The upgrade generally involves the construction of a 9.0m sealed rural arterial road on a 10.0m formation, within the extents of the existing road alignment.

The Territory Wildlife Parks (Territory Wildlife Park and Alice Springs Desert Park) have a requirement for the supply and delivery of live insects (mealworms, roaches and crickets) for animal food.Both Parks have a requirement for frozen day old chickens which are fed to various animals on park.The Territory Wildlife Park also has a requirement for frozen rats which are fed primarily to snakes mainly during the build-up and wet seasons.
