Alice Springs Correctional Centre - Installation and Commissioning of Modular Accommodation

The scope of the Alice Spring Correctional Centre Modular
Accommodation Project comprises several components as follows:
- Installation and commissioning of the modular accommodation units and
construction of the ancillary services and structures.
- Early works package including establishment of a laydown area
- Installation/ Assembly of Modules including craning of units

-  Associated works pertaining to the ASCC project

Other - Asbuild are currently engaged for the Alice Springs Youth Justice Precinct (directly adjacent to the Alice Springs Correctional Centre) and involved in upgrading the essential services infrastructure across both sites. It is a practical and timely approach to have the one contractor working and coordinating works and ability to use the established construction yard with the required staff/sub-contractor amenity on the site to reduce mobilisation costs. Also taking into account Asbuild's • Recent experience in correctional facilities; • Asbuild are a local Alice Springs contractor operating within the region of the project; • Client relationship with Asbuild and the DIPL project delivery team will ensure efficiencies in program reducing the contractor's preliminary costs; It is highly unlikely that another local Alice Springs company has the ability to compete for this works given ASbuild's current mobilisation status at the adjacent site
