Other - In 2016, LAMBERT & REHBEIN (SEQ) PTY LTD, formally known as REHBEIN Airport consulting, were engaged by the Department to develop the existing Batchelor Airport Master Plan, which was completed in October 2016. The vision of the plan is to transform the existing airstrip into an aviation hub that supports a range of commercial and general aviation activities over the long term. Since the development of the Master Plan, the CASA Regulations have been revised to align with international standards. The revisions came into effect on 13 August 2020 and requires increased parameters at Batchelor Airport to achieve the vision of the Master Plan. LAMBERT & REHBEIN (SEQ) PTY LTD have been singled out to update the master plan due to their ability to fulfil the specialised skillset requirement for Aviation precinct master planning and due to the company significant understanding of the original masterplan they already possess.
