The NT Government is seeking an Environmental Site Auditor to carry out an environmental audit for PFAS at the Jabiru Fire Station.
The Environmental Site Auditor will:
Review and approve the methodology and scope of a Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) conducted by an environmental consultant, to determine the nature and extent of PFAS contamination at the Jabiru Fire Station;
Must consider:
1 the provisions of the Waste Management and Pollution Control (Administration) Regulations (the WMPC Regulations) and the Planning Act;
2 the permitted and approved uses of the land to which the assessment relates to so that it ensures compatibility with land use policy and legislative requirements in the NT;
3 the degree or extent of contamination
4 The ASC NEPM requirements and the PFAS National Environmental Management Plan, Version 2.0 January 2020 (PFAS NEMP), including relevant NT specific regulations, legislation and guidelines
