Darwin - Consultancy - Provision of a Natural Hazard Risk Assessment Framework for the Northern Territory

The Northern Territory Government through the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to produce a Natural Hazard Risk Assessment Framework (the Framework) for natural hazards in the NT. The primary focus of the risk assessment will be on the seven identified natural hazards: cyclones, floods, earthquakes, tsunami, bushfires, heatwaves, and severe storm events. The Framework should also have sufficient flexibility to be applicable to emerging natural and anthropogenic risks, such as cyber threats.

While the Framework will act as a stand-alone policy guidance document, it will be supported by a simpler public-facing version available online, which serves to articulate the actions taken by the NT in building disaster resilience.
