The Agency requires a Consultant to undertake a broad legislative drafting project to draft amendments to the Petroleum Act 1984, and associated legislation, in order to implement outstanding recommendations from the Independent Scientific Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracturing and other amendments as required. The grant of further onshore gas production approvals is tied to the implementation of these recommendations.
As a priority project for the Agency, capacity to commence and ability to complete the work within the required timeframes, and to the required standard, will be important factors for the contract.
