There is a need for a highly portable system when X-raying clients in remote communities due to weight limits and storage constraints within a 4wd. The same requirements are needed in AUSMAT deployments with the limited space and weight restrictions aboard commercial airplanes and Australian Defence Force Aircraft that AUSMAT use to logistically deploy the Xray asset.
The ATX Equine Xray machine and the Shimadzu Detector panel is the most suitable Xray equipment as recommended by our Lead Australian Medical Assistance Team Radiographer - Andrew Loughman who has vast experience in using the ATX Equine machine in his role in remote area communities and the Shimadzu Xray Detector panel at Royal Darwin Hospital.
