Darwin - Moil Primary School - Master Plan Upgrades - Design and Documentation

On behalf of our Client, Department of Education (DoE), the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) propose internal and external upgrades to Moil Primary School. 

The scope defined in this project builds on projects and themes identified in the 2021 Master Plan prepared by Andrea Rice Architects (Attached for information only).

Further detail, layouts and functional requirements are provided in Appendix A.  The Design Team will be required to develop this in detail following site investigations and through consultation with DoE through DIPL. The Client and their stakeholders will continue to be the consultative focus for the project and will have the opportunity to make comment and provide input into the project as it develops. 

A summary of the works is as per below:

·         Stage A: Convert existing Classroom Block GLAs to new Library and new 44 capacity Preschool;

·         Stage B: Redevelop Administration space; and

·         Decommission existing Preschool once new Administration and new Preschool fully operational

·         Works to the existing roof is excluded from this scope.

Asbestos confirmed. Refer to Asbestos Register.

Construction shall be staged to enable continuous operation of the school – documentation to reflect this information.

Other than by natural progression of the design process, the scope, design intent as described in this Contract are not to be changed without written permission from the Principal’s Representative.

Deliverables must be suitable for insertion into a Construct Only contract.
