Alice Springs Region - Hermannsburg - Demolition of 2 Existing Dwellings and Construction of 12 New Remote Community Housing Dwellings

This project forms part of the Homebuild NT Program, which includes the construction of new and replacement Remote Community Housing (RCH) throughout the Northern Territory.

The program is aimed at reducing the negative effects of overcrowding and improving living conditions in remote communities across the Northern Territory, and has a strong focus on local decision making, engagement with communities and the development of Aboriginal Business Enterprises.

The scope of works includes the demolition of two (2) existing homes and the construction of twelve (12) new homes in Hermannsburg, consisting of:

• Demolition of 2 existing dwellings on lots 9 and 153;
• Construction of 1 x 5 Bedroom dwelling on lot 9;
• Construction of 5 x 4 Bedroom dwellings on lots 334, 341, 342, 345 and 351;
• Construction of 1 x 3 Bedroom dwelling on lot 335;
• Construction of 1 x 2 Bedroom dwelling on lot 332; and 
• Construction of 2 x 1 Bedroom Duplexes on lots 343 and 344.

All works are to be completed as per the Remote Community Housing Schedule 2019 and Specification.
