Patterns of mobility among primary school children in the Northern Territory
Patterns of mobility among primary school children in the Northern Territory is intended to provide evidence for the department into the patterns and characteristics of students in three key regions; East Arnhem, Big Rivers and Central. The study will explore two types of mobility, school and geographic.
Researchers will use de-identified, linked records including school attendance and enrolment data, NAPLAN data, and health and child protect services data sets, all of which are currently held with the CYDRP data repository. A variety of analytical methods may be used to describe the characteristics of mobility clusters including statistical and ‘machine learning’ methods.
The findings from this report will help the Department make strategic choices for service delivery.
