Darwin Region - Jabiru Lake and Surrounding Catchment - Consultancy - Biodiversity and Environmental Impact Assessment

Consultant is to undertake an Environmental Impact Assessment of the Jabiru Lake and surrounding catchments. The Consultant is to undertake the assessment with consideration of the Jabiru Masterplan and impacts of the proposed developments on the Lake and stormwater system. The consultant is to provide a written Final Audit Report including commentary on the overall feasibility of the work against the Jabiru Masterplan; detailed recommendations on remediation and/or monitoring options, if required.

The Assessment is to include a detailed Site Contamination Investigation. To accommodate the Assessment an Accredited Environmental Auditor is to provide a Statement of Environmental Audit supporting the findings, methodology and recommendations.

A referral will be developed to identify how the proposed works to meet the development of the Jabiru Masterplan will impact Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES) as per the NT Environment Protection Act 2019 (NT EPA Act), Environment Protection Regulations 2020 and Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act 1999.
