All Centres - Provision of Drug and Alcohol Testing Program for a Period of 12 Months

Power and Water is committed to providing a safe workplace, by minimizing impairment at work associated with alcohol and other drug use, aiming to achieve a ‘Zero Harm’ workplace.

Random alcohol and other drugs testing, commenced at Power and Water in 2019 with trial program to educate and familiarize employees with random breath and saliva testing.  Since July 2020 the Fitness for Work Procedure has been reviewed and the random testing has become a business as usual activity.  It is anticipated that reasonable belief testing and post incident testing will also become a business as usual activity to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of workers in the workplace.
