Alice Springs Region - Relocation and/or Collection, Storage and Disposal of Abandoned Vehicles on NTG Controlled Roads for a Period of 36 Months

A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises of the relocation or retrieval of improperly parked and/or abandoned motor vehicles from NT Government controlled roads in the Alice Springs Region in accordance with the NT Traffic Regulations.

The relocation and or retrieval may occur on site for public safety reasons, or because the vehicle is abandoned. The motor vehicle shall be taken to a suitable secure storage area (meeting all environmental requirements) supplied by the contractor or if instructed by the Superintendent to an alternative site within the Alice Springs Regional area.

Some stored vehicles may be required to be relocated to a scrap metal yard or auction facility.
