MacDonnell Ranges bioregion - Consultancy - Priority Place Fire Project for a Period of 21 Months

• Fine-scale fire history mapping of the MacDonnell Ranges bioregion (+30 km buffer) 2000-
present and development of fire metrics for the region (fire frequency, wildfire frequency, fuel
age, fire patchiness assessment, fire size distribution analysis).
• A summary report of wildfire risk for key sites based on prevailing burn direction and seasonality
of historic wildfires.
• Three on country planning workshops with Traditional Owners and land managers for a subset
of the key sites. CDU will attend the workshops and facilitate fire planning component.
• Updated fire metrics for the bioregion and condition report for key sites following strategic fire
management (2026).
