The scope of works is to upgrade the existing 4-way intersection of Stuart Highway, Warrego Road and Kaczinsky Road including:

  • Realignment of Warrego Road and Kaczinsky Road and constructed two new staggered T-intersections with the Stuart Highway.
  • Channelised left and right turn lanes at the new T-intersections.
  • Street lighting

This project forms part of the Road Safety Program and will improve the safety of the intersections, while supporting current and potential future mining activity in the region.
