Katherine Region - Pine Creek Primary School - Removal of the Preschool Building and Type A Asbestos Removal Works

A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises,

• Set up air monitoring around removal site pre removal until clearance granted post removal.
• In conjunction with asbestos removal requirements; all hard furnishing from preschool to be hygienically cleaned and given to the school eg. tables chairs.
• Preschool building - remove asbestos, demolish and dispose of preschool building in its entirety, make good footprint of old building isolating and terminating services at site.
• Preschool: remove and dispose of gable end on sandpit shade structure, replace gable end with a suitable nonhazardous material and make good.
• Block 1 – Store Building – North-East Eaves - remove and disposal of ACM sheeting which is sagging at
• Block 1 – Store Building – North-East Eaves - replace eaves lining with suitable nonhazardous material CFC sheeting and make good.
• Block 2 – External Veranda Floor -  Remove and disposal of floor. Replace veranda floor with suitable replacement nonhazardous material and make good.
