Alice Springs - Stuart Highway - Replace Streetlighting Between Stott Terrace and Herbert Heritage Drive

A brief outline of the streetlighting upgrade to be undertaken on Stuart Highway between Stott Terrace and Herbert Heritage Drive:

  
Streetlight Upgrade Works (Stott Terrace to Schwarz Crescent)

The Principal will supply the design and drawings for this section.
Works are generally limited to upgrading existing streetlights only in accordance with the Principal‑provided design.
Where applicable and noted in the drawings, installation of new streetlights will be undertaken to meet lighting standards or project requirements.

Upgrade of Existing Streetlight Luminaires

- Replacement of existing luminaires with energy‑efficient LED fittings.
- Installation of smart lighting controllers to support remote monitoring and adaptive lighting operations.

Asset Register Updates

- All upgraded and newly installed streetlighting assets must be updated in the streetlight asset register in accordance with project requirements.

Accreditation Requirement

- All works must be undertaken by a Power and Water Corporation (PWC)–accredited contractor.

Design and Upgrade of Streetlighting (Schwarz Crescent to Herbert Heritage Drive)

- Full design development and streetlight upgrade works for this section will be delivered as a provisional sum under the project.
