Darwin Region - Repair and Maintenance of Pavements and Drainage due Disaster event (AGRN 1269 - 31U) along Arnhem Highway ( 4 x locations)

A general outline of works includes but not limited to:
> Repairs of sealed roads pavements including:
o Stabilisation of pavement, where applicable.
o Bitumen sealing of roads
> Maintenance of drainage and batter structures
> Maintenance of unsealed roads

Road length = 370m
Pavement and Shoulder width = 9m
Anticipated base coarse = Gravel 150mm

Location 2: Chl34.95 to Chl35.29
Road length = 340m
Pavement and Shoulder with = 9m

Location 3: Ch205.19 to 205.46
Road length = 270m

Localised Survey - Survey the repair patch including 50m on both ends of the patch and width to include
10m on both side from the end of the shoulders. Provide a repair path design drawing with a longitudinal
design (horizontal and vertical geometry) and cross sections at 20m intervals (Cross fall) replicate the
existing general constructed geometry of the existing road surface, correct depressions and out of shape
areas. Allow for level checking.
Remove and pulverised 150mm pavement, incl seal road base and shoulder base course. Stockpile and
reuse as Stabilised Sub-base = 9m wide
Remove 200 mm Subgrade = 9m wide
Evaluate Subsurface conditions, if subgrade comply to earthworks materials for standard fill, compact the
material below the subgrade surface. #
Place 150mm Pulverised Gravel as Sub-base and stabilise with 3% cement and compact to 98% relative
compaction.
Import FCR complying to Table - Fine Crushed Rock Particle Sizes and Table - Fine Crushed Rock
Properties in the finished condition.
Place 200 mm FCR pavement and shoulder and compact to 100% Dry Density Ratio. Grade drainage to
the outside batter.
Spray Seal two coat S10E with 14mm and 7mm aggregate.
