Darwin Region - Port Keats Road - Upgrade to Seal Standard 134.9 - 181.3 km from Palumpa (Nganmarriyanga) to Wadeye
Upgrade and sealing of Port Keats Road, from Palumpa (west of Anopheles Creek) to Wadeye, converting the existing gravel road to a sealed road standard consisting of an 8 m seal on a 9 m formation within the Aboriginal Land Trust–owned road corridor, which includes Restricted Work Areas. Contractor will be required to seek all permits, approvals, and clearances applicable to the works.
Works include but not limited to:-
- Construction of 13 big causeway Drainage structures and 26 culverts
- Water bores drilling, gravel extraction and treatment, process testing,
- Clearing grubbing and rehabilitation, earthworks, gravel pavement, stabilisation and modification, spray sealing,
- Concrete works, drainage works, protection works, road furniture,
- Traffic control devices, pavement marking, traffic management and,
- Environmental management and project notice boards.
Works will include coordination with service providers, community, and businesses.
