Acting in its capacity as trustee, the Public Trustee for the Northern Territory (NT) is responsible for investing on behalf of its clients in accordance with section 8 of the Trustee Act. The approach to investment promoted by this legislation is known as the Prudent Person Principle.In regard to investing administering and maintaining financial and other client assets, the Public Trustee for the NT is faced with a variety of issues that it has a duty to resolve in accordance with this standard of duty imposed upon the trustee. The Public Trustee for the NT is seeking to engage the services of a suitably qualified Financial Planner as part of an approach to adequately comply with the requirements of the Prudent Person Principle.
