Katherine Region - Buntine Highway and Victoria Highway - Pavement Strengthening and Widening on Buntine Highway from Ch 3.025 to Ch 4.113, and Rehabilitation Works from Ch 82.200 to 87.120 Km on Victoria Highway

Part 1 - Buntine Highway Upgrade of the Buntine Highway to include geometric improvements to the horizontal and vertical alignments and widening to produce DIPL’s standard cross-section for rural highways consisting of a minimum 9m wide carriageway with a two coat seal for the full width of the carriageway. The section to be upgraded is between Ch3.025 km to Ch4.113 km. The Works are to be undertaken within the road reserve that contains a Restricted Works Area that limits the extent of clearing and restricts the area available for traffic management in the form of detours or the like. Refer to Clause 13.18 for more details on the detour and traffic management requirements. Part 2 - Victoria Highway Upgrade of the Victoria Highway to DIPL’s standard cross-section for national highways consisting of a minimum 11m wide carriageway with a two coat seal for the full width of the carriageway. The section to be upgraded is between Ch82.220 km to Ch87.120 km. The Works are to be undertaken within the road reserve that contains Restricted Works Area and other heritage and archaeologic sites which the detour must avoid. Refer to Clause 13.18 for more details on the detour and traffic management requirements.
