Darwin - Supply and Delivery of Meals to Don Dale Youth Detention Centre for a Period of 24 Months

Territory Families, Housing and Communities (TFHaC) requires a contractor/provider to supply and deliver meals for the young detainees that are remanded/sentenced at the DDYDC for a period of 24 months.

It is essential for TFHaC to provide meals that are nutritionally appropriate to the youths’ well-being and development that support healthy growth eg:

•      Nutrition that is appropriate to the age and development of youth;

•      Behaviour modification through nutrition;

•      Flexible dietary requirement; and

•      Nutritious meals delivered on-site designed and approved by a Nutritionist as per schedule below.

Meal quantities is estimated at eighteen (18) young detainees per day, indicative only as the number varies daily depending on the detainee’s movement. 

There is no requirement from the Contractor to enter the premises during the meal delivery/drop off.  Meals are to be drop off daily at the gate of DDYDC, 30 Tivendale Rd Berrimah

•      Lunch meals are delivered Mondays through to Saturdays at 11.30 am

•           Dinner meals are delivered Mondays through to Saturdays at 5:00 pm
