Darwin Region - Pinelands - Cycle Path Shoulder Repairs From Mcmillans Road to Wallaby Holtze Road

Work comprise of reformation and re-compaction of shoulders, both sides, according to the REPAIR TYPE'S;

TYPE 1 REPAIR – Reformation and Re-compaction of Shoulders:

• Top up shoulder with 100mm Type 3 material.
• Rip, pre-wet and pre-mix material to OMC, and re-compact shoulder pavement to 95% MMDD at 150mm depth and 0.5m wide (horizontally).
• Make allowance for gravel material outside the shoulder width to establish a 1 in 4 batter as a minimum.
• Trim and finish.
• Remove gravel material from the sealed surface with a power broom.
• Maintain a gravel free asphalt surface during construction to uphold cyclist safety.

TYPE 2 REPAIR - Reformation and Re-compaction of Shoulders:

• Top up shoulder with Type 3 material, 100mm next to the cycle path surface that reduce gradually in thickness to match existing batter level at 0.6m width (horizontally).
• Rip, pre-wet and pre-mix material to OMC, and re-compact shoulder pavement to 95% MMDD at 150mm depth.
• Trim and finish.
• Remove gravel material from the sealed surface with a power broom.
• Maintain a gravel free asphalt surface during construction to uphold cyclist safety.

The workspace on the cycle path is limit and suitable for smaller plant.

Note: The cycle path must remain open to cyclists at all times, so arrange traffic management to provide early warning and a safe pathway to cyclists.
