Katherine - Borroloola - Garawa 2 Town Camp Road Remedial Works

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is seeking to undertake Stage 1 priority remedial works for the Garawa 2 Town Camp Road Remediation in Borroloola, NT.

This project involves the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Road 1, which is the primary internal road servicing the Garawa 2 Town Camp and has been identified as the most heavily trafficked and critically degraded section of the network. The scope of works includes floodway construction , pavement rehabilitation and widening, installation of concrete kerbing and driveways, formalised roadside drainage, and traffic control. measures. 

All works will be delivered under brownfield conditions, requiring careful coordination with existing above-and below- ground services. 

Contractors must demonstrate experience in regional infrastructure delivery, remote logistics, and compliance with relevant NT design and construction standards. Local engagement and Aboriginal participation will form a key part of the assessment criteria.
