Power and Water Corporation uses overhead service wires to supply the customers connected to the overhead network in the Northern Territory. These LV service wires deteriorate over time due to heat, ultra-violet radiation, vegetation and other environmental factors. To maintain the network operation safely and reliably, these overhead service wires are inspected every 5 years to ensure they are in good operating conditions.
